BayBio and Team California invite international delegates, site selectors, government officials and any other individuals working in the life sciences to take a comprehensive tour of the life sciences industry in Northern California. This tour will take place June 12 and 13 prior to the BIO International Conference and feature the best the region has to offer from Sacramento to the Silicon Valley. The tour will offer an up-close look at many of the companies, universities, incubators, research institutes and facilities that make the Northern California life sciences industry a compelling environment for partnering, collaboration and investment.
Tours will be free to all attendees and last approximately a day and a half. There will be two tours moving in opposite directions: North and South. Schedule may change slightly. Applicants may select one, but are not required to:
SOUTH TOUR SCHEDULE:
- Flight arrivals June 11th Sacramento Int. Airport (own arrangements)
- Wine and cheese reception on evening of the 11th
- Chartered bus tour begins in Sacramento the morning of the 12th
- Chartered bus tour concludes in San Jose the afternoon of the 13th
- Includes UC Davis, Lipomics, Amyris, UCSF, Amgen, San Jose Biocenter.
- Recreational options include Monterey, Carmel and San Francisco (own arrangements).

NORTH TOUR SCHEDULE:
- Flight arrivals June 11th San Jose Int. Airport (own arrangements)
- Wine and cheese reception on evening of the 11th
- Chartered bus tour begins in San Jose the morning of the 12th
- Chartered bus tour concludes in Sacramento the afternoon of the 13th
- Includes Roche, Stanford University, Mendel Biotechnology, UCSF, Amyris, UC Davis
- Recreational options include Yosemite, Napa and Lake Tahoe (own arrangements).

TRANSPORTATION
Attendees are expected to manage their own flight arrangements. From the beginning of the bus tour to its conclusion, all transportation will be provided. Following the summation of the tour on the evening of the 13th, any arrangements will be the responsibility of the attendee.
HOTELS
BayBio has negotiated group hotel discounts for the nights of June 11th, 12th and 13th. Appropriate contact info will be provided to confirmed attendees.
TO APPLY
Simply fill out the
tour application and fax it back to BayBio. Confirmed attendees will receive written confirmation from BayBio as well as detailed schedule and hotel information. Attendees will be responsible for booking their own hotels and flights.
